Description
The Baptist Chapel is a particular Baptist chapel built around 1833. It features coursed rubble limestone with a Welsh slate roof and a brick chimney on the left side. The building has a simple rectangular shape and is galleried. The front has three-pane boxed sash windows, with two sashes located below the eaves, and an original flush-panelled door framed in wood, topped with a stone open pediment hood supported by stone scroll brackets. The left end of the chapel has two low sashes with stone lintels, while the right end has two higher sashes with flat stone arches and keyblocks. At the rear, there is a small gabled projection accompanied by a small 20th-century lean-to extension. Although the interior was not inspected in 1986, it is reported to have a southwest gallery with original pews. The chapel has planning permission for conversion into a house.
