ENSTONE B4030 SP42NW (South side) Gagingwell 6/35 Barn approx. 40m S of Abbey Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels; corrugated-iron roof. 5-bay plan with central opposed double doors. Gables have triangular vents. Interior: trusses have tiebeams and collars, and support 2 rows of butt purlins with through tenons. Bays flanking central threshing floor have raised wooden floors on stone sleeper walls.
