Description

Charlotte Cottage is a small house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features wooden lintels, topped with a thatch roof and a brick gable stack. The building has a two-unit plan and two storeys. The irregular front includes two 2-light casement windows on each floor, along with the entrance, which is positioned to the left of centre. The extension creates an outshut on the right side. The left end wall has the stack and a small casement window. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams and a large open fireplace that includes a bread oven.
