Description

This is a house located at 27 Witney Road, dating from the 17th century with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with mid-19th century brick end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a two-window range. Notable architectural details include mid-19th century brick segmental arches above a central plank door that is sheltered by a trellised porch, as well as above mid-19th century casement windows with glazing bars. There are timber lintels over similar half-dormer casements. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
