Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. It features a 2-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a two-window range. The original entry has been blocked and is not visible. There are 20th-century timber lintels over 20th-century casements, as well as 20th-century casements in half dormers. The roof is gabled with a stack at the left end. The interior has not been inspected. There is a mid-19th century two-storey, one-bay extension to the right, also made of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and late 19th-century sash windows. Additionally, there is an extension from around 1970 at the rear right.
