UFFINGTON HIGH STREET SU3089 (West side) 11/169 Garrards Farmhouse.

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19. Chalk graded ashlar, brick quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof; brick stacks. 3-unit through-passage plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. Semi-circular brick arch with chalk key over 6-panelled (4 glazed) door with carved brackets to flat hood. Cambered brick arches with chalk keys over original 3-light leaded casements. Brick eaves course; gabled roof; end and ridge stacks. Interior not inspected. Contemporary rear right wing in Flemish bond brick and with original 3-light leaded casements. C17 cartshed attached to left gable wall, has chalk coursed rubble wall to front replacing original timber-framed wall; corrugated-iron gabled roof; interior has 5-bay collar-truss roof with clasped purlins; west side open with timber posts arch- braced to wall plate and tie beam.
