Description
The Baker's Arms is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared and coursed chalk with brick dressings and features an old tiled roof with brick stacks. The building has a three-unit lobby entry plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. There are segmental brick arches over a 20th-century planked door and ground floor 20th-century two-light casements, while timber lintels are present over the first floor casements. The roof is gabled with a ridge and right gable stack. The interior has not been inspected. At the rear right, there is a contemporary service wing made of coursed and sarsen rubble with a tiled roof and ridge stack. The building was known as the Baker's Arms until recently, and its left gable wall is attached to The Old Bakehouse. It is included for its group value.
