Description
Long Thatch is a 17th-century house that was remodeled around 1850. It features squared and coursed chalk with imitation stone render applied to the center, while the original timber-framed wall at the rear has square framing made of small scantling. The house has a thatched roof and brick stacks. It has a three-unit plan and is one and a half stories tall, with a three-window range. There is a 20th-century porch leading to a mid-19th-century six-panelled door. Timber lintels are present over 20th-century casements, except for a mid-19th-century canted bay window on the left. The roof is half-hipped with end stacks. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
