Description
Stone Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof, with ridge and end stacks made of 20th-century brick. The cottage has a two-unit outshut plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The windows consist of 20th-century casements, with a timber lintel over the 20th-century door and a three-light casement window. The window opening to the left has a 20th-century lintel and has been lowered. There is a 20th-century thatch porch and three-light dormer casements also from the 20th century. To the left, there is a one-storey bakehouse made of limestone rubble, which was raised in the 20th century and is now under the same roof. A 20th-century porch is located to the right. Inside, there are chamfered beams and an old plank door leading to the outshut. The first floor has not been inspected.
