Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with brick end stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The house has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There are timber lintels above a 20th-century door that has a pentice, and 19th-century two-light casements are found in the half-dormers. A 20th-century porch has been added to the rear. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams, although the roof has not been inspected.
