Description
The Old School is a building that was originally a school and is now a house, constructed around 1847 by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with a brick lateral stack at the rear. The design is in the Gothic Revival style and consists of a single storey with a two-window range. The central gabled porch has a pointed chamfered doorway and is flanked by one-light trefoil-headed windows. The side walls have tall three-light trefoil-headed windows. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
