Description
White Rose Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the east side of Abingdon Road in Tubney. The cottage is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble with a rendered front and features a thatched roof that is hipped to the left and gabled to the right, topped with a brick stack. The building has a two-unit outshut plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The front door and porch are from the 20th century. To the right, there is a timber lintel above a 20th-century window, while a one-light window is situated to the left. The cottage also has 20th-century dormer casements. An outshut with a plank door on the left extends across the rear of the building. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest.
