Description
Meadow Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features an old tile roof with stone stacks finished in brick. The building has a two-unit central staircase plan and is one storey with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The entrance includes a 20th-century plank door beneath a timber lintel, accompanied by a 20th-century gabled porch. To the right, there is a 18th-century three-light leaded casement window, and to the left, a 20th-century casement window. The gabled roof is complemented by three mid-20th-century gabled roof dormers, each with 2-light casements. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams and original fireplaces on the left and right, with the right fireplace containing a bread oven. There are 19th-century plank doors, and while the original roof structure likely remains, it has not been inspected. Additionally, there are two 20th-century two-storey extensions at the rear.
