Description

West End Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with 20th-century brick end stacks. The building has a 2-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. A 20th-century gabled porch has been added to the front. The windows are 20th-century three-light casements with timber lintels, and there are gabled dormers that contain 2-light casements. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have chamfered beams. The cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
