Description

The Elms is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a two-window range. A timber lintel is positioned over the central 19th-century plank door, which includes an overlight. Flat stone arches are present over the flanking 19th-century four-pane sash windows, while timber lintels are found over similar sash windows on the first floor. At the rear, there is a mid-19th-century extension with a Welsh-slate roof. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
