Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 1 metre west of Lockton's Farmhouse, dating from around 1325 on the right side and from the 17th century on the left. The left side features weatherboarding on timber framing, while the front wall on the right side was removed at the time of the survey. The roof is made of corrugated iron and is hipped to the left. The structure includes a 2-bay portion from the 14th century with a 2-bay addition from the 17th century to the left. There is a stable door located to the left of centre. Inside, the 14th-century portion has a truncated full cruck in the centre and stops on the right side. The 17th-century portion features a queen-post roof. The cruck trusses have been radio-carbon dated to around 1325.
