Description
This is an outbuilding located about 10 metres south of Town House Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with modifications made in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction, partly weatherboarded, with some woven infill, set on a high rubble plinth and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The building consists of two framed bays and is open across the ground floor on the north side. Originally, it had a floor. The framing includes two square panels high to the wall-plate, with gable trusses on the south side featuring two collars with multiple queen struts, and on the north side, three queen struts to a collar with V-struts in the apex. The central truss has a collar and tie-beam, with trenched purlins along the ridge. Much of the timber used in the construction is reused from other sources.
