Description
This is an outbuilding dating from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition and some repairs from the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with some wattle-and-daub infill, partially covered with weatherboarding, and sits on a rubble plinth topped with a corrugated iron roof. The structure has three framed bays oriented from north-west to south-east, with a lean-to on the south-west front and another at a lower level on the north-east side. The lean-tos on both sides are open and supported by wooden posts at the divisions between the bays. The framing consists of two square panels in height. The intermediate roof trusses include two raking struts, while the gable-end trusses are designed with diagonal framing and trenched purlins. This building is included for its group value with nearby structures.
