Description

This is an outbuilding located about 10 yards north of Bannal's Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding set on a rubble base, topped with a corrugated metal roof. The building is likely composed of five framed bays arranged in a north/south direction and is a single storey in height. The west elevation features a double doorway at the southern end, along with a square opening and two ledged and battened doors. Inside, the wall framing consists of two panels extending from the sill to the wall plate, with collar and tie-beam trusses that include struts, as well as intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts.
