Description
This is an outbuilding, possibly a cart shed, located about 35 yards southeast of Cruise Hill Farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century and is constructed with a timber frame, weatherboarded exterior, and a corrugated iron roof. The building has two framed bays that are aligned east to west. The framing consists of rectangular panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, with long straight braces in the lower corners. The trusses feature truncated collars and tie beams, which have been altered with a boarded ridge. There are double doors on the west gable end, along with a blocked square opening above them. The outbuilding is prominently positioned near a road junction and is part of a group with Cruise Hill Farmhouse, which adds to its significance.
