Description
This barn, located approximately 10 meters west of Chalkhouse Green Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension and 20th-century alterations. It features a flint base with brick dressings, large timber framing, weather-boarding, and a slate roof. The barn has three bays and a central 19th-century midstrey at the rear. The entrance includes central double plank doors, with additional plank doors on the left and right. Inside, there is a Queen post roof with most common rafters, although one truss has been replaced. There are also single-storey wings from the 19th century on both the east and west sides, which have flint walls with brick dressings. The barn is included for its group value.
