Description
The stable, barn, and dovecote located approximately 45 meters south of Copcourt Manor are likely from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The stables feature a brick plinth and large timber framing with brick infill, topped by an old plain-tile roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic and consists of a six-bay range. Each bay has a stable door, with the doors in the center, right of center, and to the right having casements above with leaded lights. There is a loft door in the gabled dormer at the center. The interior has not been inspected.
To the right, at a lower level, is the dovecote, also dating from the early 17th century. The ground floor has 20th-century brick, while the first floor features large timber framing with brick infill and an old plain-tile roof. This two-storey, single-bay structure has a stable door on the ground floor and a three-light casement on the first floor. The right return includes dovecote holes on the first floor and gable. The interior contains a Queen-post roof with windbraces.
To the left is the barn, which is also from the early 17th century. It has a brick plinth, large timber framing with brick infill on the right, and large timber framing with weatherboarding on the left, all under an old plain-tile roof. This two-bay barn features double plank doors on the left return and a Queen-post roof.
