Description
Henwood Farm includes a dovecote and stable located approximately 15 meters northwest of the farmhouse. The dovecote dates from the early to mid-18th century and is built of chequer brick with an old tile roof featuring Dutch gables. It is a tall, one-storey structure with a two-window range. The central doorway has a flat brick arch, and flat brick header arches are present over the flanking windows. Inside, there are brick nesting boxes.
Attached to the front right corner is an early 18th-century stable. This stable has a brick front wall, a limestone rubble right wall, and the remainder is light timber framing with early 19th-century brick infill, all set on a tall limestone rubble plinth. The stable has a gabled 20th-century tile roof and is one storey with two bays, featuring two 18th-century plank doors with strap hinges and one window. Inside, there is a timber-framed partition, although the roof has not been inspected.
