Description

White Cottage is a small house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble and features a gabled roof covered with old tiles, along with brick stacks at each end. The house has a one-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range on the front. There is a timber lintel above a 20th-century plank door, and segmental brick arches above early 20th-century fixed windows and two-light casements, as well as gabled dormers. Inside, there is a chamfered beam and split elm joists, with winder stairs located next to the stack. The first floor has not been inspected.
