Description

Little Bradley Farmhouse, which includes a barn and an attached cartshed, is a large late 17th-century barn. The barn features two bays on the left that have been converted into an early 19th-century house. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and has a gabled old tiled roof with a brick stack at the left end. The five-bay barn has a central midstrey with a hipped roof, and there is an outshut for implements on the left. To the right, there is a cartshed extension under the same roofs, which has a blocked entry to the left of a timber lintel above 20th-century double doors.

The early 19th-century house to the left is two stories high with a two-window range. It features timber lintels over a 19th-century six-panelled door, which has two glazed panels. To the left of the door, there are mid-19th-century sash windows, and to the right, there is a 19th-century casement window above a 17th-century ovolo-moulded wood-mullioned window.

Inside, the building has a collar-truss roof with side braces and clasped purlins. The tie beams are reinforced by arch braces that are tenoned into posts supported on corbels.
