Description
Holly Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The cottage has a three-unit plan and is one storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There are timber lintels above a 19th-century plank door to the right and another 19th-century plank door in a chamfered architrave to the left of the centre. To the left, there is a 20th-century window with timber lintels, and to the right, a 18th-century three-light wood-mullioned window. A bread-oven projection is located adjacent to the ridge stack on the right side of the cottage. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have chamfered beams and an open fireplace.
