Description

The Old Malt House is a house dating from the early 18th century, located in St. Helen Without Dry Sandford. It is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble, with an old tile roof. The roof is gabled on the left and hipped on the right, featuring stone and brick end stacks respectively. The house follows a three-unit plan and has two storeys and an attic. The front elevation has a three-window arrangement. Timber lintels are above the 20th-century door and the two-light casement windows to the right. Further timber lintels are above three early 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows to the left. The interior was not inspected, but is likely to be of interest. The building is included on the list for its group value.
