Description

A manor house dating to the mid-18th century, with a likely 17th-century section at the rear. The front of the building has an ashlar stone plinth and is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring flared brick headers. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, with lead ridges. Brick stacks are located at the left and right ends, and on the left return. The house is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a four-window façade. A four-panel door is centrally positioned on the left side of the front, with a fanlight and a painted wooden surround consisting of fluted Doric pilasters supporting a triangular pediment. All windows are 16-pane unhorned sashes set within segmental brick arches. A decorative dentil brick course runs along the eaves. The attic has two hipped dormers, each with a 6-pane unhorned sash window. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to contain features of interest. The manor stands on a moated site.
