Description
The Feathers Public House is an inn, now functioning as a public house, built around 1810. It features a stucco exterior with a hipped Welsh slate roof and roughcast and brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window range. The entrance consists of a four-panelled double-leaf door set within a revealed surround, topped by a large decorative fanlight. The windows have segmental arches over tripartite sashes, with an 8-pane sash on the first floor flanked by tripartite sashes. There are also sashes at the rear of the building. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a keyed architrave to the right and a straight-run staircase with stick balusters. The first floor has not been inspected. The inn is depicted on the 1819 Enclosure Map at the Oxfordshire Record Office.
