Description

Manor House, now a farmhouse, likely dates from the 16th or 17th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses, with stone ridge and lateral stacks. The building has an L-plan layout, with the right part being two storeys and the left part a single storey plus attic. The right section is probably from the 17th century and is attached to an earlier house. The layout consists of a two-unit plan with a rear extension.

The ground floor and first floor have two-light stone mullioned windows. The earlier part on the left also has a two-unit plan and a single-unit extension. To the right, there is a 20th-century porch. The ground floor includes a window with a stone surround and a two-light stone mullioned window. The attic features a two-light stone mullioned window and another window with a stone surround. There is a single-storey farm building attached to the left side of the house. The stone copings add to the building's character.

Inside, the manor house has stop-chamfered beams and joists in the hall, a chamfered bressumer, and plank doors. The dining room features CIB panelling, while the bedroom over the kitchen has a stone fireplace decorated with fleur-de-lys motifs. A framed newel stair completes the interior features.
