Description

Red House is an 18th-century house located in Barford St. John and St. Michael. It is constructed from regular coursed ironstone rubble with a pantile roof and brick stacks to the right and ridge. The house has a 3-unit plan, consisting of a single storey plus attic. An off-centre doorway on the left has a 20th-century door and wooden lintel. To the left of the entrance is a 3-light wooden casement with a wooden lintel; two similar windows flank the right side of the facade. The attic contains three 3-light 20th-century casements. A fire plaque is positioned below the eaves. The interior features a chamfered bressumer beam above the fireplace.
