Description
28 Main Street, also known as Daisy Cottage, is a small house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic high. The front of the house has an irregular arrangement of two windows, which have been renewed with casements but still show some old chamfered lintels. The door is positioned to the right of centre, and there is a tiny window located at the extreme left under the eaves. The steep-pitched roof has brick stacks at both gables. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace with a wooden bressumer.
