Description
Church View is an early 18th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from banded marlstone and limestone rubble, with marlstone-ashlar dressings, and features a concrete plain-tile roof with rebuilt brick gable stacks. The building likely follows a central-stair plan and has two storeys. The symmetrical front has three windows, which include three-light 19th-century casements, and an altered central doorway with a small window next to it. All openings are topped with ashlar flat arches. Additionally, the third bay has a two-light stone-mullioned cellar window. The steep-pitched roof is adorned with gable parapets and projecting moulded kneelers. The interior has not been inspected. This building was formerly the main range of Glebe Farmhouse.
