Description
Manor Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse built from coursed squared marlstone and limestone rubble, featuring limestone-ashlar dressings. It has a Welsh-slate roof with both ashlar and brick stacks and is designed in an L shape, with two storeys plus an attic. The main range has a symmetrical front with five windows, an ashlar plinth, a storey band, and pilaster strips. There is a central segmental-arched doorway with a moulded surround and a double-stepped keyblock, along with seven segmental-headed 15-pane sash windows that have projecting keyblocks. The gable parapets extend over the pilaster strips as cornices. Most of the gable stacks have been rebuilt in brick, but the left stack retains an ashlar base and a moulded string. To the right, there is a two-window rubble range with 12-pane segmental-headed sashes on both floors. The rear of the main range features a tall leaded central stair window, and the rubble section continues to the rear as a four-window wing with renewed casements of two and three lights. The interior has not been inspected.
