Description

Park Farm House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It likely dates from the 17th century and was remodeled in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from coursed and random limestone rubble with marlstone ashlar dressings, topped with a Stonesfield slate roof featuring ashlar gable stacks.

The layout consists of a three-unit through-passage plan, with two storeys and an attic. The front of the higher section has three window openings made of coursed rubble. It features a central four-panel door with a rectangular overlight, a two-light casement window above, and three-light casements in the flanking bays, all adorned with flat arches. A datestone on the building is inscribed with the year 1857. The roof has gable parapets with moulded projecting kneelers and double-shafted stacks that have plinths and moulded caps. To the left, there is a lower bay made of random rubble with irregular window openings. The rear of the house includes additional casements; the ground floor has 17th-century stop-chamfered lintels, while the first floor features leaded glazing and flat arches. The higher section has three gabled roof dormers.

Inside, the house has stop-chamfered beams and back-to-back open fireplaces with a bread oven.
