Description
The Old Vicarage is a vicarage that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 18th century and early 19th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. The building is constructed from limestone and marlstone rubble, topped with Welsh-slate roofs and brick stacks. It features a two-unit plan with a rear wing.
The structure is two storeys high and has a four-window front that includes a range from the 19th century. The right bay contains blind windows, while the central entrance features a four-panel door with a decorative overlight and a pilastered stone doorcase, flanked by twelve-pane sash windows. The first floor has three similar windows. The shallow-pitched hipped roof has boxed eaves supported by wooden brackets. The right end wall displays a tripartite sash window above a French window with margin lights. The walls were previously covered in stucco. There is a two-window 18th-century wing and a 20th-century extension that both face to the right.
The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
