Description
Manor Farm Cottage is a small house dating from the mid to late 18th century, located in Sandford St. Martin near Ledwell. It is constructed from limestone and marlstone rubble with wooden lintels, and has a concrete plain-tile roof topped by a brick gable stack. Originally a single-unit plan with a garage bay added later, the cottage is two-and-a-half storeys high. The front has a symmetrical design to the taller section, featuring a central doorway with a segmental brick arch. Flanking the doorway are three-light casement windows. The first floor has matching casement windows, and the second floor has a four-light leaded casement. The lower section to the right incorporates 20th-century garage doors but retains a two-light leaded casement window above. A projecting rubble chimney rises from the right gable of the taller section. The interior has not been inspected.
