Description
This is a house located on Church Street, Kidlington, dated 1739 as indicated by a stone bearing the initials "SB/1739". The house is constructed from roughly shaped limestone rubble with a gabled roof covered in stone slate tiles at the front and 20th-century plain tiles at the rear. It has rendered end stacks. The house follows a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front facade presents a symmetrical appearance with two windows on each floor. The central entrance is accessed via a late 19th-century trellised porch and features a keyed flat stone arch over a late 19th-century four-panelled door. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements, each set within a keyed flat stone arch. A date plaque sits above the front door. Dormer windows are set into the gabled roof. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
