Description

This is an early 19th-century house, located on Church Street in Kidlington, with later extensions to the rear. It is constructed of roughly-coursed limestone rubble, with the front facade built of squared and coursed limestone. The roof is covered with gabled concrete tiles, although the rear has Welsh slates, and there are brick end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, arranged over two storeys, with a three-window front. A keyed flat stone arch features above the central French windows. Similar arches are above late 19th-century plate-glass windows, and early 19th-century six-pane sashes are found in the outer bays of the first floor. A mid-19th century extension was added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
