Description
This building is a barn with an attached bakehouse, located approximately 5 meters south of Paternoster Farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century porch and some alterations. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble and has a gabled stone slate roof. The barn has a four-bay plan with a central threshing floor and a stable with a hayloft in the left bay. The porch features a hipped roof, weatherboarded walls, and early 19th-century plank double doors with strap hinges. Above the plank door to the left, there are timber lintels over a loft opening. Inside, the barn has a collar-truss roof with butt purlins on the left side, along with a chamfered beam, a wooden manger, and a rack in the stable. To the right is a former bakehouse from the 17th century, built with similar materials, which includes a brick end stack and a projection for a bread oven. This building is included for its group value.
