Description

The North West Barn at Grange Farm is a barn dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a gabled stone slate roof. The barn has a three-bay plan with a central threshing floor. A central gabled porch with a partly-blocked doorway is present, and there is a lean-to that extends beyond the right gable wall as a short gabled range. Inside, the barn has a collar-truss roof with chamfered butt purlins, and stone flags are laid at the threshold of the threshing floor.
