Description
This is a terrace of three pairs of houses, dating from the late 19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stuccoed frontages, and have slate roofs with brick end stacks. They are three storeys high with a basement, and extend over a total of 12 windows. There are six entrances, each accessed via stone steps, with panelled doors and overlights. The ground-floor windows are tripartite sashes with horns. First-floor windows are sashes of four large panes with horns, surrounded by moulded stone and cornices resting on consoles. The attic floor windows are plain sashes of four panes. Nos. 16 and 17 have bracketed eaves soffits. Nos. 12 and 13 have balustrades beneath the first-floor windows. Moulded bands define the first and second floors of Nos. 12 and 13; elsewhere, bands only mark the first floor. The interiors have not been inspected.
