Description
Holly Tree Cottage is a small house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and a 20th-century extension to the rear. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and some brick elements, and has a thatched roof with brick gable stacks. Originally a two-unit plan, it was probably formerly subdivided. The two-storey front has a central doorway and three windows; these are largely old two-light casements with small panes, except for a three-light casement on the ground floor to the right. Part of the left gable wall has been rebuilt in brick. Inside, there is a small open fireplace with a cambered bressumer.
