Description

Park Farmhouse is a late 18th-century and 19th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with some ashlar dressings, featuring old plain-tile and Welsh-slate roofs topped with brick stacks. The building likely follows a central-stair plan, with an added range incorporated. The main range is two storeys plus attics, while a later range is two storeys high. The earlier main range presents a symmetrical three-window facade. This includes a central six-panel door, with overlight, ribbed keyblock, and a flat-panelled canopy supported by shaped brackets, flanked by canted wooden bay windows with sashes, cornices, and fluted friezes. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes, each with a ribbed keyblock. The roof has flanking stacks and three hipped dormers, each with small-pane casements. A lower two-window range is set back to the left; it features sashes, a slate roof, and a lateral stack rising at the front. A further subsidiary range extends to the rear of the main range. The interior remains uninspected. The farmhouse occupies the site of a former medieval manor house.
