Description

This is a house, likely dating to the 17th century with additions in the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed from a mixture of random and coursed squared limestone rubble, with some ashlar dressings and a concrete roof covered in plain tiles. The roof features a ridge stack made of rubble and brick, incorporating a notable 17th-century chimney with a rubble base and broach-shaped weatherings rising to two diagonal stacks with moulded string courses. The main part of the house is a four-unit plan with an additional, smaller bay alongside. The single-storey main range has a four-window facade, facing away from the road. It includes a doorway and a three-light casement window to the right, both with ashlar flat arches and projecting keyblocks. A small, blocked window is located to the left, and a further three-light casement with a wooden lintel is found in the rightmost bay, which is primarily random rubble construction. Four low dormers are visible on the roof. To the left of the main range, a lower subsidiary bay has its own entrance and a casement window. The interior has not been inspected.
