Description

Squirrel Cottage is a small house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of limestone rubble with timber lintels and features a thatched roof with a brick gable stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan plus a gable outshut and is one storey high with attics. The front has two windows, with a door on the left and two-light casements in the center and to the right. There are also two two-light dormers. The door was originally located in the center of the front. To the right, there is a hip-roofed outshut, and there is a 20th-century extension at the rear. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer.
