Description

Rose Cottage is a small house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The front elevation has two windows, which are aligned to the right of centre. At the first floor, there are two-light casements, while the ground floor has three-light casements. The doorway is positioned between the bays, and the lower openings have flat arches made of rubble. To the extreme left, there is a small single-stone lancet window, which is likely a re-used feature. The interior has not been inspected.
