Description
The House at Pooh Corner is a house, likely once several separate dwellings, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and some ashlar dressings, topped with a thatched roof and rubble stacks. The building has a four-unit plan with an end outshut and an added bay, featuring one storey plus an attic.
The irregular front, which consists of several builds, includes five three-light casement windows on the ground floor, with the outshut bay located to the left. There is also a two-light casement in the added bay to the right. The entrance is situated in a 20th-century stone porch between the fourth and fifth bays. Above the second, third, fourth, and sixth bays are two-light half dormers in raised sections of the wall. The ground-floor window in bay two is stone-mullioned and has a label, while the other ground-floor windows have renewed casements. The roof is hipped to the left and features end stacks along with a central ridge stack. The interior has not been inspected.
