Description

The Farmstead is a pair of early 18th-century farmhouses, now combined into a single dwelling. It is constructed from limestone rubble with wooden lintels and squared quoins, and has concrete plain-tile and shingle roofs with stone stacks. The layout is in an L-shape, comprising a three-unit main range and a two-unit rear range. The front of the main range has three windows, with renewed casement windows of two lights each, except for a three-light window at ground floor in the third bay. The entrance is located between the first and second bays. The steep-pitched roof is punctuated by three stacks, with the right gable stack built of ashlar with a plinth. The rear range returns to the left and incorporates further casement windows and a lower shingle roof, linked to the front range via a short, single-storey section. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
