Description

The Old Forge is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof with rebuilt stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, with two storeys and an attic. The front has three windows, with the left bay being higher and containing a six-panel doorway on the extreme left. All bays feature three-light casements, with two-light casements above, located in dormers on the centre and right. There is a rectangular projection between the second and third bays, likely an oven, which aligns with the middle stack of three that rises to the right of each bay. The interior has not been inspected.
